A Year and a Day is a seasonal magazine that aims to guide children into the inner world of traditional stories and out into the natural world around them.

Are you afraid of heights? We hope not, because, in this issue, we’re going to look at the world from the tops of trees. In autumn, it’s sure to be a view full of colours. Right now, the treetops above us are changing. First, they start glowing with all kinds of colours, and then they spread their beautiful leaves like a colourful carpet under our feet.

In this edition, we’ll talk a lot about trees and what their leafy branches mean for children, animals, forest fairies, and even for communities of people.

We hope that after reading our magazine, you’ll know how to make your own dendrophone and handmade paper. We also believe that you’ll have adventures with your friends in the shade of your favourite tree’s branches. You can create your mandala, build a gnome house, or play a game to learn about different trees. You’re sure to enjoy a picnic with treats from an apple tree and have a wonderful time sharing them under its branches.
