Over 1000 years old, in Japan this braiding is known as Kumihimo. Kumi means braids and Himo means cord. This braid star has 8 slots, which you can weave a string of up to 7 strands. Creates a strong seven-coloured braid and when using rainbow wool it is even more colourful. The stars are made of 5 mm thick felt and easy to take with you as a craft on the go!
A great way to use up bits and bobs of leftover yarn that are too short to knit with but perfect for braiding.
Make it with one colour, or up to 7 different colours!
Instructions, bits and bobs of yarn included for your first braid.
